Some Like Look of NBA dress code by Rrooke VanBuskirk

This article explains the new decision on dress code for the NBA. They want their players to set a good example and look presentable. President Antonio Davis says they way the players are dressing is not representing the league very well. The dress code includes wearing a sport coat, slacks, and dress shoes when arriving to a game or any league business. They are also now enforcing fines for not meeting their agreement.

I think its a good idea to enforce a dress code for professional sports. It makes them look more professional and represents their team in a better way that sweatpants and jeans would. Alot of high schools even make their basketball players dress in slacks and ties. I think a dress code would bring more respect from the fans. Wearing nice clothes and being present at media relations makes the team look more responsible. They don't just look like athletes that only care about basketball, but also about the business side of the NBA.
