Bobcats say arena will have some sound improvements. volume 8 issue 22 by Robert Conrad

Your trying to watch the game and the ref blows his whistle and making these hand signals but you have no idea what they mean. So the ref goes over the load speaker to tell what happen but you don't understand what he's saying and you miss it.
The NBA sport team Bobcats have said that they have taken care of the noise problem while staying under the budget of $265 million. Instead of installing a centralized speaker system the Bobcats designed the arena to have distributed speakers throughout the arena. Designed by Dallas-based PMK Consultants. Preparing for the teams Nov. 5 home opener. Which the Rolling Stones open the arena October 21.
In the older arenas they have glass doors in the suites, but this new arena didn't do that. They say that without the glass doors the noises will not be bounceing back and forth when the crowd is yelling. So there will not be much echoing through the arena.
