Track Seeks Super Bowl Atmosphere Volume 8 Issue 22 by Rich Munsell


This article basically discusses NASCAR and how it is hoping to improve attendance and make the atmosphere of the daytona 500 more like the super bowl. I think this is a good idea incoorperating ideas such as concerts, festivities, and street races and tournaments during the week of the race. They sold out earlier than usual including 66 suites, so this seems like a good idea so far. They also plan to make five temporary suites as well. It appears that NASCAR is establishing itself as one of Americas favorite sports and isn't content there. I believe they will keep coming up with new marketing ideas to improve appreciation and attendance.
